Born in England, moved to Fort Worth, Texas, as a teen and reside there still. I'm the Author of the 'The Mischief Series' 'Mischief in the Mushroom Patch' and 'A Fairy Match in the Mushroom Patch' the third installment of this series is underway. 

'The Ghost of Whispering Willow' is a ghost mystery targeted toward 5th-7th grade readers, and is my most recent release. I really enjoyed writing this piece and hope that my readers relate to at least one of the characters in the book, without question, my favorite character is Margaret Rose. My latest novel 'The Greenlee Project' will be released in 2013, as will 'Sadie's Fairy Tea Party.'

I wrote a graphic novel for the Texas Municipal Education Center, about teen driving safety. Its part of the DRSR (Driving on the Right Side of the Road), titled - What If... A Story of Shattered Lives. It was adapted into a Reader's Theater. This script is about the consequences of drinking alcohol and driving and offers middle school students an opportunity to perform and use their voices to depict characters in this tragedy. <p>Sayetta is an archangel who has been sent into the physical world to seek out eight archangels who have been reborn into the world. She knows that she cannot do it in the form of an angel so she takes on a human form to move through among us in the physical world. Gabe a mortal has the soul of a warrior angel. He is reborn in physical form to prepare for her coming. He is born with abilities that he is unaware he has.</p><p>All of his life Gabe had been having dreams of a ruined church. He never knew the name of the church, but the dream was always the same. In the dream, he was standing facing the ruins of the church. But he didn’t look like a human. Instead, he was an angel with pure white wings and a golden countenance. Another much larger angel appeared to him. The angel pointed towards what was left of the door and said “Enter, your journey has just begun and your guide awaits you.</p><p>Sayetta finds out from Archangel Michael that Lucifer has sent an old demon to find and stop Auriel from removing the demons he has imprisoned in the earth.</p><p>They receive a little help from the Archangels Azuriel and Gabriel as they journey to locate Auriel. It’s a race to find Auriel before the demon does. In the end, it’s a battle between two powerful beings, one good and one evil.</p>

Story Behind The Book

I wrote this book for my mom because she loved fairies. Though she never saw it in print, she knew the ending. She would have loved Lilly, Boris and Jack. That their story continues would certainly have made her smile. Enjoy. Amanda M. Thrasher

After their rescue, Lilly and Boris are in more trouble for disobeying rules and are punished by Mushroom Colony elders. Their punishment includes working in the fairy dust factory for a few days. kindness. When their boundless sense of adventure lands Lilly and Boris in big trouble, it becomes a lesson for us all in the rewards of selfless valor. Subsequently, their very real fear of the consequences of their mischief, by their own attitudes of accepting responsibility, is transormed into a magical period in their young lives they will remember fondly always.<br /> Having worked in a rock quarry in my younger days, I am impressed with Ms. Thrasher's detail in describing the process of producing the fairy dust. I wonder if what I helped produce back then actually sparkled and I just never took time to notice it. I eagerly look forward to reading the next in the series of adventures in the mushroom patch! I wanted to second the sentiment: It's delightful to engage in the use of imagination without violence, without guns blazing. Even better the characters have traits that other children can relate to. The book is real in it's lessons and vivid in it's use of imagination. A big plus-the adult reading it will enjoy the story too! I remember years ago wanting to poke my eye out at another smurf story! But like most small children, Boris and Lilly are definitely mischievous.<br /> In Mischief in the Mushroom Patch, Boris and Lilly find themselves in a world of trouble as they venture out of the mushroom patch against fairy rules. When children misbehave they must face the consequences and that's exactly what happens to Boris and Lilly. Mademoiselle Francesca sentences the two mischievous fairlings to the dusting factory where they will assist the dust fairies.<br /> During their tenure, Boris and Lilly learn the importance of following rules and the hastiness of waste.
