I've spent half my life immersed in books (reading not swimming), but stopped believing I could write after sixth grade. Years later, with both Bachelors and Masters degrees in nursing, I reduced my practice to be at home with my family. My boys would say I read more, which might be true. One afternoon, while watching them "play" in the pool, I had a plot about the Sphinx drop in my head. I've been writing again ever since.
