About

Born in Soldier Summit, high in the Utah mountains, Mary Maddox now lives in the Midwest. She graduated from Knox College with Honors in creative writing and received an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop. She taught writing for many years at Eastern Illinois University. Her short fiction has appeared in literary journals and has been honored with a Writer's Grant and two Literary Awards from the Illinois Arts Council. Her paranormal thriller Talion won second place for horror fiction in the 2013 Global eBooks Awards.
