About
I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and then travelled off to Boston College where I learned to play rugby, drink beer, and read 600 page history books in small print. I've been teaching history in Baltimore for a number of years, and, in my spare time, writing novels.
Story Behind The Book
Years ago I worked with a fellow who was a veteran of the Israeli Army. He told me lots of stories about the battles that he'd fought in, and I began to think about the world in a very different way. Eventually, this led to the writing of Hostages.

If you want a fast-paced read, with interesting contemporary characters, get your hands on Hostage. The plot is intriguing -- and it's ripped right from the headlines. The characters are interesting--and the clash of cultures theme gives heft to the story. I read this very quickly, not wanting to put it down. I'll look for more novels from Crimmins.
