About

I live in Melbourne, sometimes referred to as the vegan capital of Australia, with my life partner: my green-smoothie blender. I've been vegan for over 10 years for ethical reasons; the environmental and health benefits are just gravy, and I like to get involved in fundraising, volunteering, leafleting, protests and rallies.

For two years I've been an administrator ofPopUpVeganEats, a social group that meets every week for vegan food somewhere in Melbourne. This role has introduced me to almost all the vegan food this fabulous city has to offer, and most of the amazing vegan characters found lurking in its depths.

Melbourne is a wonderful city, replete with amazing personality and culture; it's a truly fun place to live and visit, and a maze of hidden treasures lies just beyond the tourist veil. I've traveled through four continents, and discovered many ways to make the most of a city as a vegan, and this guide will help you do the same here in Melbourne.
