About

I attended Fordham University in NYC and started my journey. I went on to earn my Masters in Creative Writing from Stony Brook University, where I studied with National Book Critics Circle Award winner (for The Year of the French), Thomas Flanagan. More recently, I studied with (and owe a debt of gratitude to) the brilliant writer and teacher, Holly Lisle. I also worked with Flash Fiction pioneer and champion Pamelyn Casto, and  “bizarro” (a genre, not a judgement) writers Garrett Cook and Bradley Sands.

I started out a long time ago just writing odd little short stories (a page or two long, before this became known as “flash fiction;” back then, it was known as running out of ideas, also attention deficit disorder). I got a lot of praise for my writing, which I promptly ignored. (I heard the negative comments loud and clear, though!)
