About

Bruce A. Shields was born in Flint, Michigan in 1969, the first son of Bruce and Lynnette Kennedy Shields. His first book, a technical manual for saving money through various home improvements you could do in 2008, he was reminded of his younger years of writing creative stories and was drawn back into the art. While attending High School in Grand Blanc, Michigan, he began writing short stories as well as scripts that he and his friends would film on weekends, as he continued to produce short stories and work on various novels. The first novel in the pandemic Dawn Series was published in 2010, and was followed by Rise of the State in 2011. It would be four years before he completed the third novel in the series, Day of Abomination.

Bruce lives in Michigan with his wife, Terri Shields, and two of their six children, four of whom have grown. The regularly attend the HOF Church where Bruce serves as Senior Pastor since 2006.

Cannon, a former teacher and grandmother of 10, is the author of nine acclaimed rhymed children's stories that have received 48 national and international book awards between 2011 and 2017. Also a playwright with seven published plays for elementary school children, her works have been performed internationally in over 20 countries. Most of her children's books try to teach something, such as good manners and caring for others.
