Why I ask? Because that's how/where I would categorize this novel. Don't be fooled by the simplicity of the cover. From the brief introduction of the main protagonist, to the very end; these two authors did a fabulous task working together to create a story that mixed drama and sex without making it seem bland. I personally enjoyed how all four characters interweaved with each other, but they still were allowed to have their own identity. Although it's label as an erotic tale, the story was written to where sex didn't rule the plot, but instead it enhanced it. Hope that last sentence made sense. Explain. Every page had substance, the intimacy scenes seemed fitting and not just thrown in to fill space.

So, was the plot predictable? Even though the plot is both sex and drama driven, there was in fact one, and yes the predictably of the story is seen; but with much thought what story isn't. How was the editing, was it horrible? No. The only issue I had with editing, I'm not sure if it was just my copy, but I noticed quite a few unneeded changes in the font type. Other than the font type, I hardly noticed any inconsistent in the editing to the point where it force the story to not flow well.

Though if I must note two minor issues; one, I had wished for the authors to have written a warning; 'Read at your own risk,' in the synopsis/book description. What?! It's an erotic tale, what else should've been stated? We still live in a homophobic society ... and I will leave it at that. Second, pricing. Yes, I was gifted a copy. And yes, I respect, and understand that there's a tremendous amount of time that is sacrifices to create written literary. However, I may be alone on this, but the price of an ebook regardless to whom wrote it plays a significant role in purchasing. At the time of review: $10.00 for less than 200 pgs.

Overall, would I recommend this book? Absolutely. Am I looking forward to 'Act II'? Indeed. Oh, may I add; thanks authors for including in the title as well inscribed inside of the novel its self that a continuous with a release aiming for Winter 2015 is expected. Even though I've stated before in previous reviews about cringing from the through of; 'to be continued,' 'stay tuned for part 2,' cliffhangers - - I shall not complaint - the authors did give a full warning; 'The Chronicles of Sin: Act 1.
