Story Behind The Book

The most amazing thing about this book is that, as the first line of the story says, it all started with a dream. Six months after moving to Florida I had a dream about two old friends. These two people each knew me, but not each other. Needless to say, the dream was a nonsensical collection of stray thoughts and bizarre scenes that made no sense whatsoever. There was one theme that did stick in my head though...that these two old friends were conspiring with each other to steal a large stockpile of gold bars. The next day I couldn't get the dream out of my head and over the course of the day I began to expand on the fragmented story that my dream had begun. By the time I was driving home from work that evening I had the impetus for the story, most of the characters and a fairly good idea of what would happen. Before I knew it I was spending every spare minute I had writing. And that is the story of my story! I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
