Story Behind The Book
I became a raw foodist in 2007, because I was sick and tired of feeling "sick and tired". Everything I had tried up until then was not working, making me feel sicker, and costing me more money, time, and quality of life. Deciding to change the way I ate to a high raw and living food diet was the best choice I ever made when it came to my health. From there I started blogging about my journey and how eating this way has helped me in so many ways. After publishing my first book in 2008-09, Raw-Riffic Food's 101 Super-Charged Juices, Shakes & Smoothies, many of my readers had asked if I would produce a book that explained more about the basics of this diet and lifestyle, and include recipes that they could transition with. I thought that this was the perfect opportunity to truly capture all that I had learned so far, and to include most of the recipes that I have enjoyed during my journey. Raw-Riffic Food's Raw Food Basics is a perfect reference book with over 250 recipes to help anyone interested in learning and experiencing the raw food diet for themselves.
