<p>The Race for Flugal Farm is the first book in a trilogy that charters the lives and adventures of the inhabitants of the Riding Stables at Flugal Farm.</p><div>Times had been hard for George Flugal and his wife, and this inevitably resulted in him having to sell the majority of the school's horses until he was left its just four: Pogo, Biff, Troy and an ex-racehorse called Chance.</div><div>The horses who along with a young stable hand Rachelle Perkins, a dog named Nugget, a pig called Nigel and an old family friend Uncle Dave, make up the Flugal's extended family.</div><div>When they find themselves facing the possibility of having the farm repossessed by the bank, and bought out by the odious Mr Williams, have to pull together to enter a carriage drive in order to win the prize money and save their way of life.</div>

Story Behind The Book

Candice George is poised for success and living the good life. After starting her business a few years ago, she is generating six-figures as the CEO of one of Philly's finest modeling agencies. And what more could a girl ask for to complete her perfect life? A better half, of course. Candice found her beau when she met the dark, alluring Hamilton Barker. No one would have believed their fiery relationship would be the beginning to a new life. But, in the matter of days, Candice becomes the target of the ultimate betrayal. She is not aware that someone is on her trail to destroy her name and take her title. When things get hot, Candice turns to Melina Divine, her best friend, who lends support and is ready to pick up any fallen pieces. Despite her best efforts to leave her drama-filled life behind, she finds herself caught in a continuing inferno of secrets, lust and deception.

Flames of Deception is exactly what is says. When I first saw the cover it intrigued me. When I started reading, it mesmerized me. Hamilton, Candice and Melina are the characters in which you can relate and either love or hate them. THis novel is surreal and with each turn of the page you get addicted in finding out the truth.. Ms. Woodruff is an exceptional writer who entertains your mind and takes you on a thrilling ride. He is tall, dark, and handsome. He has a girlfriend, Candice, who is the epitome of every man's dream. Hamilton uses Candice as a trophy piece and the fact that she is well off, gives him even more incentive to keep her around. He hasn't been faithful to Candice in the five years that they have been together. <br />Despite his charming good looks, Hamilton quickly becomes the character that you love to hate. He has a dark past that Candice isn't aware of. As the story slowly reveals the details of Hamilton's dark past, the book became a page turner that literally had me on the edge of my seat. And with every new character, was a new twist as I discovered that they each had their own connection to Hamilton. <br />The story contained in this book was full of what we love most....DRAMA! It was all drama based upon betrayal and deceit. I quickly considered Hamilton the villain of the book and found myself anticipating his demise. Unfortunately, both I and the characters in the book, didn't quite give him the credit he deserved. The book closed with an unbelievable ending that left me speechless. first started reading this book, I couldn't put it down. Actually, I read it while riding from Jackson, TN to Nashville (about two hours away)and by the time I got there, I was finished reading. I just couldn't stop. There were so many secrets, lies, and betrayals going on in the book, I caught myself talking aloud saying, &quot;I know (s)he didn't.&quot; After about the fourth or fifth one, it finally got on my husband's nerves but I didn't care. If you are looking for a great read with a great plot, memorable characters, and an unexpected ending, then Flames of Deception is surely the book to get. <div
