The body is identified as Annabelle Leigh, the teenager who famously disappeared over a decade ago from her boyfriend's New York City mansion.

This new evidence casts suspicion back on the former boyfriend, Cecil LeClaire. Now a monk, he is forced to return to his dark and absurd childhood home to clear his name. He teams up with Ava Germaine, a renegade ex-model. And together, they investigate the depraved and lawless modeling industry behind Cecil's family fortune.

They find erotic canes, pet rats living in crystal castles, and dresses made of crushed butterfly wings. But Cecil finds more truth in the luxury goods than in the people themselves. Everyone he meets seems to be wearing a person-suit. Terrified of showing their true selves, the glitterati put on flamboyant public personas to make money and friends. Can Cecil find truth in a world built on lies?

In high fashion modeling, selling bodies is organized crime.

LOOSE RABBITS allows the reader to learn more about the fantastic characters of the Rabbit Trilogy. As one reader puts it, "Sometimes a writer has to cut material from a book because either the book is too long or because going into detail would take away from the story. New novelist Ellen C. Maze has come across both of these scenarios in writing her novels Rabbit: Chasing Beth Rider, and Rabbit: Legacy. Not wanting to leave her characters bare, Maze continues to dress her characters in detail and in different circumstances to give these characters more depth in her newest book Loose Rabbits Of the Rabbit Trilogy. It is a wonderful companion piece to give window to the why or how her characters developed in her first two books. Loose Rabbits is a breezy, fun read."

Made me pull Rabbit out to re-read it before I dive into the upcoming Rabbit Legacy! I have a "silly" favorite but I feel I'd give something away. You should read it. It is SO worth the short time it takes to take in the "Loose Rabbits". Great job Ellen"

Reader Kevin says: "This short story collection is a little different from most anthologies: They are all somehow related to the two novels "Rabbit: Chasing Beth Rider" and "Rabbit: Legacy". Each story stands on its own, but contain backstories and sidestories featuring characters or situations from the two "Rabbit" novels. Think of a DVD that included deleted scenes or even behind-the-scenes info on how characters develop and you get an idea of what you'll find in "Loose Rabbits." We may be used to these features on DVDs, but it's not often you find them in book form. So if you already own "Rabbit: Chasing Beth Rider" and/or "Rabbit: Legacy," consider this book as completing them, maybe "Rabbit: The Deluxe Edition." (I understand there's eventually going to be a third Rabbit novel so maybe it'd be "Rabbit 2.5") Anyway, "Rabbit" fans (referred to as "Rabbit Chasers") definitely will not be disappointed. These Loose Rabbits need to be grabbed today. Let the chase begin!"
