About
Brian Jeffreys was raised in Yukon, Oklahoma, the oldest of two children (before the country western star went and made it his home). He attended several universities pursuing technical degrees from engineering to astrophysics, finally graduating from Dallas Baptist University with a BS. After two decades working in high tech manufacturing, he went back to school to pursue a masters degree in mathematics.
While visiting a friend who had just co-written a book, Jeffreys decided to try his hand at writing. Over the course of three years he wrote four full length novels and tried several publishing venues. But at his core, he is a storyteller who loves to read and write good science fiction and adventure fantasy. His driving motivation is to never write something he wouldn’t want to read more than once.

The day Henry IV could finally declare he had vanquished his enemies, he threw it all away with an infamous deed. No English king had executed an archbishop before. And divine judgment was quick to follow. Many thought he was struck with leprosy—God's greatest punishment for sinners. From that point on, Henry's health was cursed and he fought doggedly on as his body continued to betray him—reducing this once great warrior to an invalid. Fortunately for England, his heir was ready and eager to take over. But Henry wasn't willing to relinquish what he had worked so hard to preserve. No one was going to take away his royal prerogative—not even Prince Hal. But Henry didn't count on Hal's dauntless nature, which threatened to tear the royal family apart.

Story Behind The Book
Where did all of the good science fiction go? Somewhere in the span of time between Isaac Asimov and Spider Robinson, the big thrillers from Harry Potter to Twilight seemed to draw readers away to magical realms and dark paranormal romance and leaving science fiction behind. I was still looking for a good space shoot-em up with smart, twisty plots. Stories like Foundation, Ender's Game, and Tuff Voyaging seemed to be distantly fading from the shelves leaving my bookshelf empty. So, I decided it was time to write...
