MarissaFarrar is a multi-published horror and paranormal author. Shewas born inDevon, England, loves to travel and has lived in both Australia andSpain. She now resides in Devon with her husband, two children, acrazy Spanish rescue dog and four hens. She has a degree inZoology, but her true love has always been writing.

Her dark take on a vampire romance, Alone, was first published in 2009 and had now been re-released by Red Hot Publishing. The sequel is scheduled for an October 2011 release.

Marissa Farrar's short stories have been published in a number of anthologies including Their Dark Masters, Masters of Horror, 2013: The Aftermath, and the monthly Digital Digest anthologies.

<p>It’s hard to be committed to anyone when you don’t know whom to trust.</p><p>Alexis Toles, a former FBI agent turned undercover CIA agent, is quickly finding that out in Nancy Ann Healy’s newest political thriller, <i>Commitment</i>.</p><p>Alex embeds in a secret organization of intelligence operatives known as The Collaborative. Its partners include operatives from the CIA, National Security Agency, FBI, US Department of Defense, and an entanglement of foreign intelligence agencies.</p><p>It’s about half a year after the death of President John Merrow, a friend and someone she respected. I am a committed Horror/Vampire reader and this stacks up really well against some other books I have read. What I really like most about this read, as a London commuter, was getting through a couple of short stories each train journey, each of which had it's unique 'spin', the diversity of Marissa's story telling ability couldn't be better demonstrated here. Very much looking forward to reading the The Followers.</div>
