Born in Ft. Wayne, IN and raised in southeastern VA, Kevin A. Kierstead was published by the age of 10 (editorial). After graduating high school in 1990, he joined the U.S.A.F. for four years while being published as the feature and sports writer for the North Pole Independent Newspaper, securing an exclusive interview with a new gold and silver Olympic medalist, Tommy Moe. He also finished his first fiction novel during his military service.

He later studied at Christopher Newport University, majoring in Psychology and English with a writing concentration, 1996-99, 2002-04.

He believes it hasn't all been done, and that everybody has a story to tell. He believes that rules and constraints must often be scrutinized and tested. His genres vary, including science-fiction, humor, and suspense thrillers. He hopes to sign with a major publishing house but is also entirely content as long as his readers are satisfied.

<p>The Race for Flugal Farm is the first book in a trilogy that charters the lives and adventures of the inhabitants of the Riding Stables at Flugal Farm.</p><div>Times had been hard for George Flugal and his wife, and this inevitably resulted in him having to sell the majority of the school's horses until he was left its just four: Pogo, Biff, Troy and an ex-racehorse called Chance.</div><div>The horses who along with a young stable hand Rachelle Perkins, a dog named Nugget, a pig called Nigel and an old family friend Uncle Dave, make up the Flugal's extended family.</div><div>When they find themselves facing the possibility of having the farm repossessed by the bank, and bought out by the odious Mr Williams, have to pull together to enter a carriage drive in order to win the prize money and save their way of life.</div>

Story Behind The Book

Aliens may or may not have already been to Earth, but mathematically, it's impossible that they won't eventually visit. Is it so hard to guess what it might really be like? Does it have to be the cliche E.T. or V or Alien(s)? No. This is not only a fresh, new perspective on alien interaction, but it is also a deep and totally controversial look at the history of mankind on Earth, what "God" is, and what's coming up for humankind in a near and distant future. You may hate Alt's pet, Khan (he's just mean) but you may just fall in love with him and the truths he so abrasively delivers. Suffice it to say that manners may not be popular in other parts of the Universe...
