Description

Sayetta is an archangel who has been sent into the physical world to seek out eight archangels who have been reborn into the world. She knows that she cannot do it in the form of an angel so she takes on a human form to move through among us in the physical world. Gabe a mortal has the soul of a warrior angel. He is reborn in physical form to prepare for her coming. He is born with abilities that he is unaware he has.

All of his life Gabe had been having dreams of a ruined church. He never knew the name of the church, but the dream was always the same. In the dream, he was standing facing the ruins of the church. But he didn’t look like a human. Instead, he was an angel with pure white wings and a golden countenance. Another much larger angel appeared to him. The angel pointed towards what was left of the door and said “Enter, your journey has just begun and your guide awaits you.

Sayetta finds out from Archangel Michael that Lucifer has sent an old demon to find and stop Auriel from removing the demons he has imprisoned in the earth.

They receive a little help from the Archangels Azuriel and Gabriel as they journey to locate Auriel. It’s a race to find Auriel before the demon does. In the end, it’s a battle between two powerful beings, one good and one evil.

Story Behind The Book

There are many things happening in the world which ticks me the hell off. I, as a citizen in the ‘real’ world can’t change society with a flick of my hand, but my laptop keys can kick butt and change fallacies. I can write people to fulfill my dreams. I can have them do what needs to be done and get away with it. . And because I think a proven rapist (especially of a child) should be caught and beaten to death on the spot and because I am tired of injustices in the judicial system where it seems sexual predators, pedophiles, and deviants have lenient sentences or get away with their crime I wrote The Fishing Trip. where the good guy is the grey matter. I know its not as easy as black and white, but I bet if redemption fell hard on creeps like that, this sort of crime would end quickly, I'm just sayin'. There are other countries that don't play with this part of society.

What stood out was the characters. I could feel their anger and taste their need for vengence. You hate to sympathize with this varied group of outlaws but you find yourself rooting for them as they take child rapist off the roles of society. Ms. Wade has done her home work on this book. Five stars....a great read at a steal of a price. It tells of how once you are something, no matter how well you try to mask yourself, the truth will ALWAYS rear its ugly head.
The jumping back and forth works perfectly, as does all of the situations Ms Wade has created.
I would highly recomend this book as a must read.
I was unable to put it down, and felt a part of the story imbedding itself into me.

100% perfect !!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Can you ever escape your past?, May 1, 2011

By

Debbie - See all my reviews

This review is from: THE FISHING TRIP-A TRIAL BY WATER, EXECUTION AND A DELIVERANCE OF RETRIBUTION (Kindle Edition)
This is a complex story dealing with complex issues. Wade cleverly intertwines past and present as we learn how the events of childhood shape the present lives of a family torn apart by betrayal and abuse. Just how far will one man go to exact revenge for the death of his sister?

I found this novel occasionally confusing in places - when the flashbacks are of characters with different names, it took me a while to connect the people together. But it was ultimately a satisfying read after the loose ends were tied and I came away realising that no matter how often you change your identity and start over, you can never escape who you are inside.
