About

I live life by one simple quote..."When Life Gives You Lemons, Throw Them Back and Scream, "Limes, Motherf&%$er, I Want Limes!"

It's this rebellious attitude that started me on the path of writing fiction novels.  I write because it allows me to escape the routine of every day life.  I write about relationships, not just romantic relationships.  My books focus on the relationships between friends, siblings, lovers, and parents.

My characters are a reflection of the people I has encountered along my journey to find who I am as a writer and as a person.

I am "just a small town girl", born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio.  I now live in Atlanta, Georgia.  I often think of Atlanta as a place were dreams are formed and then people get out to live them.

My writing career began at an early age.  I was just in high school when I began working on me first novel.  As I studied Biology at Georgia State University, I began my second novel, Change of Heart, and quickly decided that Biology wasn't where my talent lied.  Despite many protests, I switched to Creative Writing which was instrumental in jump starting my career.

I often say that music is my influence and without it, I would not be alive.  Other than music, I also enjoys reading and watching movies, and spending time with the people I love.

Story Behind The Book

I had the idea of writing this story after seeing a John Mayer performance in March 2010. I've always been a huge fan and his story is inspiring. I've never been musically inclined so I thought it would be interesting to write about the struggles of a person who wants nothing more to play the music that I love. Untitled* is definitely a break from the novels I've written before. At one time, I considered myself to be an urban romance author but there was a voice inside my head telling me that I could write from a different perspective and not all authors experience every single thing they write about. That's what I did and wrote an amazing story about a guitar player.
