Hello BookBuzzrs!
Hope you've had a great March. Ours was a delightful month, thanks to the positive feedback that we've been getting from authors like Jim Musgrave who wrote in to say, "Just a line or two to tell you that I sold four Kindle books and two paperback books in the first week I had them at BookBuzzr." Also, a special thanks to author and book-marketing expert Tony Eldridge who made a wonderful video explaining how to get started with BookBuzzr.
Before we announce this month's movers and shakers, we'd like to tell you about a few important improvements that we've made to BookBuzzr to help streamline your online book promotion efforts.
Announcing the BookBuzzr Mini Widget
A number of authors have written in over the last few months mentioning that they needed a smaller, lighter widget that they could use in places like blogs with narrow side-bars. So we've come up with the BookBuzzr Mini Widget. It's smaller and has fewer bells and whistles. It simply shows a flipping book and allows readers to click through to the full-screen preview of your book. You can get yours by simply logging into your BookBuzzr account and clicking on the Start Marketing link below your book.
Related Books Are Now Optional
Some authors (especially of children's books) wrote in to say that they did not want their readers to see related books at the end of their book previews. So we have gone ahead and made the Related Books feature optional. If you do not want to show other books at the end of your book-preview, you can now opt out of the Related Books feature. Please note that if you opt-out of the Related Books feature, your book will also not show up under Related Books at the end of other books being sampled. To opt-out of Related Books, simply log-in, choose the "edit details" link for your book and opt out.
Your Book Now Shows With Improved Aspect Ratio
Aspect ratio is the ratio of the height of your book to the width of your book. For sometime now, we've had a problem where the aspect ratio of certain books was not being maintained consistently when the screen or window size of the browser changed. What this meant was that your books were sometimes showing up looking stretched or squished. That problem has now gone away since we've fixed some bugs in our code. Please do check out your own books and let us know if you have any suggestions for improvement.
