"Bang" caught my eye on Twitter, with its catchy title and attention-getting synopsis. This novel for grown-ups hurls the reader into a small world of a few lamentable characters caught up in a complex dilemma that intensifies all the way to the dramatic end. The non-fatal shooting of a man begins the collision course of events that expose common social disasters affecting marital, parent/child, and adult relationships as well as the desire for revenge. The story moves fast, and as the chapters flow, the curiosity grows despite the flawed characters. I recommend this novel highly to adults looking for a well-written, twisted, entertaining story.

BANG by William Butler is a hard-boiled crime fiction set in present day. It is the twisted tale of fate, adultery, murder, and romance. This story is definitely for adults only as it does have a lot of f... words, and sensual scenes. This is a multiple facet plot which is well written with details and with characters to say the least are a little deranged and very flawed. This was a complicated story with a list of characters where each have their own agenda. Tim apparently is the man to hate,"Tim gotta die kinda of guy" and several people want just that.Including his cheating wife,a viscous mother, a best friend who is not such a best friend, and a sister-in-law who is a little deranged.Than add into the mix a new love triangle and somebody is going to die. While Tim was believed to attempted a suicide, others things was actually in play.If you add all these things together you gotta have the perfect hard boiled crime fiction with a little romance mixed into the plot.An interesting read. This book was received for the purpose of review from the author and details can be found at CreateSpace, and My Book Addiction and More.

Tim Jones’ life is a train wreck and it might just get a lot worse. His wife cheated on him but he wants to make amends. His mom rejects him at every turn but he doesn’t much care for her either. Just when he is trying to put it all back together some one shoots him.
This book has more twists that a plot in a daytime drama. Mr. Butler has thrown more than just a few curves to make the story zing and has served up family dysfunction on a silver platter. I thoroughly enjoyed this read even while I shook my head at the weirdness of the plot.
I would recommend BANG to anyone who likes their mysteries dark and twisted. I happily give this book 5 stars just for keeping me guessing.

It's crazy. I love how you have the ever present asshole in the guise of best friend. He screws his best friend's wife... and all hell breaks out. It's a great read so far....
