About the author

Matthew Drzymala is author of the popular comedy book series, The Bumpkinton Tales.
Having studied creative writing and nominated for an Adult Learner Award, Matthew went on to release four Bumpkinton stories in the space of 12 months in 2013-14.
In 2016 the first Bumpkinton paperback was released titled: The Bumpkinton Tales: Volume One
This book was made up of five short stories and was followed in 2018 by the first full-length Bumpkinton novel, The Fantastical Gregory Shortbread.
When asked about who his target audience is, Matthew says:
"Anyone. Honestly. Anyone. My Bumpkinton stories are like a lovely massage for the brain. They're silly, packed with zany characters but most of all, have a lot of heart. I wanted to write something the whole family could enjoy - and from the reception I've received, I've managed to do that."
As well as being an author, Matthew also runs Educational Author Workshops in secondary schools and colleges and as a full-time job, he is a Freelance Copywriter, which means he writes web pages, blogs, articles, product descriptions and more for businesses.
So, whether it's for work or a hobby, everything Matthew does has writing at its very core.

The book fits comfortably into the ‘humour genre’ with plenty of smiles. The tragic/poignant moments were much needed to break from the flow of jokes.
I enjoyed my first visit to Bumpkinton.

I just couldn't stop reading this book

I cant wait until the next book is available.
it is beautifully written, some funny one liners, and a read for 8 yrs to 80 yrs
