Robert enjoys reading and writing different books, usually historical fiction adventures in different places, different times. He studied Hemingway, Durrell, Uris and Thorne Smith and therefore always includes a humorous streak in dramatic situations. "If I don't weep a little while writing, I feel I'm not at one with the characters. In For the Love of Rose I bawled my head off," he says, "even at the proofing stage. I write books for my own entertainment and hopefully some readers." He also writes nonfiction spiritual and dowsing books.
