ABOUT THE AUTHOR Robert Lewis Berman was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and moved with his family to Lexington at the age of five. He earned his B.B.A. from the University of Mississippi and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. In addition to his academic accomplishments, Berman served as first lieutenant in the United States Army Tenth Infantry Division, as a platoon leader. He is the former the president and CEO of Southern Food Brokerage and is the president of Berman Enterprises. A past president of Beth Israel Congregation in Jackson, Mississippi, Berman resides with his wife in Boca Raton, Florida.
