Story Behind The Book

Ever since I started the journey to become an author, people have been telling me that I needed to get my work out there, to be published in magazines and anthologies... Once I became involved with the internet, a whole world of writing competitions and writing websites opened up to me. I spent a lot of time writing short stories in an effort to win the recognition I felt I deserved. Many times, my efforts fell at the first hurdle, something that many people have experienced and given up at. I just filed the story away on my hard drive and tried again. In 2010, I was doing a little hard drive cleaning (deleting unwanted files) when I realised exactly how many short stories I had filed away like this! So I polished some of them up and put them into a manuscript... and thus "The Necklace of Harmony" was born.
