Story Behind The Book

I was asked a number of years ago to start writing articles in a professional magazine for a state surveying organization. I agreed to do it but on the condition the articles would never mention surveying or the surveying profession. That was in 1994 and I have been writing them ever since about life and family and my native Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
