Story Behind The Book
On September 11, 2001, tragedy struck America. Our response was to send Special Forces teams, known as the Green Berets, into Afghanistan to make the Al-Qaeda terrorist group and Taliban government pay with their lives. Emerging from the battlefield comes an improbable romance between a Green Beret medic, Ron Hawkins, and an Afghan nurse, Shararah, whom he rescues from an attempted Taliban-led execution. As Ron and Shararah escape into the Hindu Kush Mountains, two people from separate worlds merge into one incredible single love! Can they and their love survive? Discover their story about "Love in the House of War."
