Have been writing for as long as I can remember (something of an exaggeration, but you know what I mean). Only in the last 5 years have I seriously tried to develop an audience for my work.

I've tried to come up with a portmanteau word for the stories, combining nostalgia and comedy. The first attempt was 'comalgia' but that sounds like a painful condition, so I've settled on 'nostalgedy'

Story Behind The Book

Steady Past Your Granny's, the first collection of my stories, came about originally as a result of the Daily Mail's ill-conceived &quot;have your own book published&quot; promotion in 2005. Since then I have self-published this book (via a desktop-publishing friend, not the vanity press) and have continued to write similar stories for the local press and Mature Times.
