Cannon is the author of 10 award-winning children's books that have won nearly 100 awards (and counting), including Santa's Birthday Gift, Peter and the Whimper-Whineys, The Magic Word, Gimme-Jimmy, Manner-Man, My Fingerpaint Masterpiece, Mice &amp; Spiders &amp; Webs...Oh My!, The Golden Rule, My Little Angel and David's ADHD, as well as two award-winning poetry books, A Penny for Your Thoughts, and A Dime is a Sign. Her other two coloring books are Peter and the Whimper-Whineys Coloring Book and The Golden Rule Coloring Book. She is also a playwright, with seven published and internationally performed plays for elementary school children. A former teacher, the author's goal in each of her books is to teach good manners as well as caring for others.</p>

The characters lure you in from the beginning and keep you engaged until the very end! I never thought I would be rooting for the assassins to come out ahead. The way the two lives come together is fascinating. The ending totally surprised me and I was bummed when I realized the book was over! It's gritty, authentic and the action is well paced. Wise guys, FBI agents, mob hits, bombs, great sex - this book has it all. But wait - there's more - quite a few twists and turns along the way that I did not see coming and thoroughly enjoyed. You are brought into two distinct worlds with two unique characters and immediately find yourself cheering for both. Forget about the fact that they are assassins; Jon F. Merz does an amazing job of making you care about them as people, humanizing them. This book has a little bit of everything. Mob action, romance, thriller, paranormal and even humor peppered in just in case you needed to be reminded of the author's talent. This book is pure fun. I could not put it down and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a fast-paced, thrill ride of a book. My only disappointment came when the book was finished.
