Born in Palakkad and educated in Bangalore, she is a highly respected teacher of medical profession and widely appreciated for her gentle and friendly disposition. She started her teaching career at senior levels at Sri Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences and Research, Bangalore and later as the Associate Professor at Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Dental Sciences and Reserch, Amritsar.
