About the Author,

 

R. L. Sloan is a south Texas native born in San Antonio, Texas, where she lives with her husband and daughter. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master’s of Arts Degree in Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Anger Resolution Therapist, and trained Rape Crisis Volunteer. Child Welfare has been the focus of her career over the past 15 years. Paranormal Romance has been a favored genre of the author for several years, and Embellish is her first literary work.

 

Community service has also kept the author busy. The author has worked closely with various social agencies.

 

Collecting Smooth Jazz, cooking, and baking, are hobbies the author enjoys, each day.

 

More recently, the author has tried her hand at stage playwriting by turning a scene from Embellish into a stage production. This turned out to be a successful venture, and she looks forward to continuing such endeavors.
