She went back to Red River College at age 66 and obtained her Assistant Teacher Certificate in Early Childhood Education (ECE). For the last five years she has been teaching German language and culture at the South Winnipeg Kinderschule.

Roswitha’s background as a successful businesswoman gives her a desire for perfection which she applies to her new vocation; she also brings in a rich cultural background and connections with the German and Austrian communities in Winnipeg which she is able to share with the children. Roswitha is well-loved by all the children and she continues to surprise everyone with her great imagination and educational ideas. She continues to take courses to the benefit of Kinderschule and the children, ranging from curriculum development to teaching techniques.

She is highly self-motivated and energetic, people-friendly and outgoing person who wishes to remain active. For that in the summer time she is touring as a Tour Director for Fehr-Way Tours through Manitoba, Ontario, and the USA.

As you read her story of an immigrant woman from Germany, perhaps you will be encouraged and inspired by her struggle and her successes as a self-made woman.
