Story Behind The Book
Poetic dialogue with the celebrated Persian poet/astronomer/tent maker….. OMAR KHAYYAM
Rejoinder to each of the 101 quatrain (Tetrastich)…in the same poetic meter….aaba
Based on English translation of the Rubaiyat…..
Note: Puritans/purists can rest their case….as this is a book on positive thinking….not a commentary on Omar Khayyam!!!
Introduction and sample dialogue….
This is a dialogue with a forgotten friend
Who probably lost his way…on a certain bend
Of life’s road…and to wine he turned
I wish… he saw a beginning ….in every end
For life’s road goes up and down
It’s true….for both rags and crown
But the road isn’t just full of holes…
There’s great beauty too….why drink and drown?
