J.C. Phelps has been writing since she can remember. But The Alexis Stanton Chronicles have been the most enjoyable works she's written. Color Me Grey, the first book in the series, introduces the characters she has come to love. Shades of Grey and Reflections of Grey continue with the same characters and were equally as fun to write.
J.C. is considering another in the Alexis Stanton Chronicles, but is currently working on a couple other different stories to put to paper.
Could you tell us a little bit about
yourself?
I live in The Black Hills of South Dakota
with my husband and three beautiful girls. I've always wanted to be an
author and finally made my dreams come true with Color Me Grey.
Describe your book
in 30 words or less.
Color Me Grey is the first in a series filled
with action, adventure, danger and a little romance.
What was the
hardest part of writing your book?
The hardest part of writing my books is the
editing, followed closely by coming up with the actual story.
What books have
had the greatest influence on you?
Lord of the Flies, Call of the Wild, Tom
Sawyer and many more.
Briefly share with
us what you do to market your book?
I'm on Facebook and Twitter almost every day. I also send my books out for reviews to book bloggers and I buy ads in
various places such as BookBuzzr.
How do you spend
your time when you are not writing?
I spend the majority of my time being a
mother to my three daughters.
What are you
working on next?
Currently, I'm working on the fourth book in
The Alexis Stanton Chronicles.
