Maurice Connolly

Author Maurice Connolly has previously been a pub landlord, an auctioneer and a farmer. He spent his early years at Kilmeaden, County Waterford, growing up on a farm with one brother, Michael. After finishing school, he worked for a spell in London, and on his return to the farm he wrote a play, Ebbtide, which was staged at various venues throughout the country including Dublin and Cork. Two years later he penned his second play, Weekend Appointment. He has also written a novel, Redferne.

Maurice Connolly lives in Foulksmills, County Wexford with his wife Anne. They have two sons, John and Thomas, and four grandchildren Fionn, Jack, Caoime and Charlie
