Could
you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I am a
fifty-something retired grocery store clerk and high school custodian. I have
been writing my whole life, but it wasn't until I retired I was able to turn my
full attention to perfecting my writing skills, and getting published. In early
2011 I won 3rd place in the best short story (sci-fi) for 2011 (The Gag
Gift) and was accepted by the Phyllis Scott Publishing agency
for my vampire novel, The Hunt. Phyllis Scott recently published my 2nd
novel, Story Time.
Describe
your book ‘The Hunt’ in 30 words or less.
It's October
in the mountains, and Brian and Holly Jensen are going hunting. Little do they
know that they about to become the prey, in a hunt as old as time itself!
What
was the hardest part of writing your book?
The hardest part
of writing any story writing is the editing...always.
What
books have had the greatest influence on you?
When I was younger I liked books like, The Stand by Stephen King, and
Swan Song by McCammon. Now that I am older I watch for a great voice-- like
James Lee Burke.
Briefly
share with us what you do to market your book?
Mainly I do
things like join BookBuzzur, try to get reviews on Amazon and review sites, and
chat with fellow authors on Amazon and Good Reads
How do
you spend your time when you are not writing?
I own a
small book store, which is fun, but time-consuming. I also do book signings,
readings and host writers groups.
What
are you working on next?
I have just
started a new book, as yet untitled...it's a haunted wastern
