Georgia born, Mutima Jackson-Anderson began expressing her thoughts through writing at an early age.
Wanting to follow in the footsteps of her mother; who was a freelance writer for the Atlanta Inquirer, Mutima begun to write short stories- which led her to journey into the literary world by writing her first novel, "Painting the Perfect Picture", a compelling morality tale about a woman’s struggle to endure unexpected detours in life.
In addition to writing, Mutima is the founder of the Ruby A. Neeson Diabetes Awareness Foundation, a non-profit advocacy organization, supporting the prevention and cure of diabetes in African-Americans.
