Interview

1. Could you tell us a little bit about yourself?

I live in Mapleville, Rhode Island with my wife and cat. I like reading, writing, movies and music. After graduating from Cranston East in 1982,  I went to Sawyer School for a short while to study television and radio. A little later on, since I always enjoyed writing stories, I decided to take a writing course with Writers Digest. It was very informative and educational. It taught me how to better my writing skills, and how to get ideas for stories and story titles that would be of interest to readers. I remember entertaining my friends in school with stories like, Attack of the Squirrels, Bright Eyes and Computer Dating.

2. Describe your book ‘Darker Side Endings’ in 30 words or less.

Darker Side Endings is a collection of 8 short stories, each with a dark theme and most have surprise endings. It is in the tradition of Tales From The Dark Side and Twilight Zone.

3. What was the hardest part of writing your book?

The hardest part of writing the book was editing and proofreading. When I read the stories back to myself, I felt them to be entertaining but I also hoped that my readers would find them to be just as entertaining as well.

4. What books have had the greatest influence on you?

Dead Zone, Misery, Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs

5. Briefly share with us what you do to market your book?

I have marketed the book on facebook, Twitter, Goodkindles, Book Buzzr, Goodreads and Shelfari. I took advantage of the KDP select program on Amazon with their free days promotion. My book had over 350 free downloads on Amazon.

6. How do you spend your time when you are not writing?

When not writing, my wife and I like to occasionally see concerts and shows and sometimes go to the casino. We also enjoy going to amusement parks.

7. What are you working on next?

I am now working on Darker Side Endings 2, another collection of short stories. So far I have written Domino: Spikes 2 and Evil Soles. I recently finished Journey to Imagination, also a collection of 10 short stories for young readers. It is also on Amazon in kindle edition.
