Thea Westra

Thea lives with Greg in Perth, Western Australia. She publishes self improvement resources at Forward Steps.

Her home site and the hub of all her online publications is Forward Steps at www.forwardsteps.com.au, and all her materials and resources, are being moved to www.myforwardsteps.com

Thea has also written a book titled Time For My Life: 365 Stepping Stones, and her book is available as a download version or as a paperback copy.

Personally, Thea has challenged herself in her own life, particularly when she jumped out of a 23 year career, sold her home and moved across country on her own. After which she met her life partner, Greg.

She has read many self improvement books and a great amount of material over the past 30 years, plus participated in several personal development programs over the years. Thea has been coached, and coached others, for many years plus provided hundreds of resources online since 2002.

Thea worked in education for 23 years and was the founder chairperson of a non-profit artist group, managing a gallery space for two years (and is very proud of having sold 4 of her own paintings at over $680 each), before starting her own life coaching business in 2002.

She has four university degrees in the area of education (Dip.Ed.,B.Ed.,Grad.Dip.Ed.Admin.,Grad.Dip.Lib.) which serve not much purpose these days, other than demonstrating how committed she is to learning!

Thea now offers solely internet-delivered self improvement information, tools and services. Therefore no longer providing one-to-one coaching, other than by way of personal communication with the Members at myforwardsteps.com.

Forward Steps is all about just that …forward steps. If we are facing in the right direction, all we have to do is keep on walking. Thea’s mantra is that “Each forward step enhances the value of your first”. Another favorite saying that she keeps at her desk, “Whatever you focus on, WILL expand”.

In addition, Thea has contributed chapters in books by various authors e.g. Christopher Westra, Jinger Jarrett and Priscilla Palmer. She has herself published ebooks, produced a monthly ezine since October 2002, maintained eleven blogs for four years, has several websites at which she presents practical resources for personal development and some web development, and online business information, plus participates at various online communities.

Thea continues to learn, and to expand what she provides to you online. Even more so, now that she has discovered Digital Access Pass and created myforwardsteps.com as a unique Membership site.

Namasté, Thea

Interview

Could you tell us a little bit about yourself?

I live with Greg in Perth, West Australia and I publish lots of positive, upbeat content, online.
The hub of my online publication is Forward Steps at www.forwardsteps.com.au. Much of my newest material, and content that takes hours of my time, is now shared at the Member site www.myforwardsteps.com and at lots of mini sites that I enjoy creating.
You can do a Google search for “Thea Westra Forward Steps” and you’ll find many of my various sites and creations.

Describe your book ‘Time For My Life’ in 30 words or less.

My book gives short bursts of power to take into each day. My own copy is well worn and powers up my thinking from a very positive place each morning.

What was the hardest part of writing your book?

Consistently setting aside a time slot every single day for 2 years for working on my book. As well as choosing the best content and writing all those 365 life power tips for each page.

What books have had the greatest influence on you?

Stuart Wilde's "Infinite Self: 33 Steps To Reclaiming Your Inner Power", Eckhart Tolle's "The Power Of Now" and Maxwell Maltz's "Psycho Cybernetics".

Briefly share with us what you do to market your book?

I use an affiliate program for the book at www.timeformylife.com/affiliate.html and have a Facebook presence at http://www.facebook.com/forwardstepsselfimprovement as well as keeping my my email readers in touch, they subscribe at various locations such as www.alittlebookof.comMy book is also linked at all my many sites. I have a physical copy available via Lulu.com, the book is available on iTunes too.

How do you spend your time when you are not writing?

When I am not writing I am usually online and creating content for my readers and visitors via my blogs www.forwardsteps.com.au/FSBlogs.htm or at all my www.forwardsteps.com.au sites. I also enjoy my garden, spending time with Greg and regularly meet friends for coffee.

What are you working on next?

I do not yet have another book planned and I am very involved with creating the mini sites for www.forwardsteps.com.au/ForwardStepsDailyNotes.html as well as increasing the massive amount of content in my member site.
