Jim Stallings

Jim Stallings is the Composition professor at Georgia Perimeter College he has served as a composer in residence with Sound Learning; a collaboration between Georgia State University, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and Young Audiences of Atlanta. He has written for the Symphony's concert series for children, Symphony Street, and has received commissions from the American Composers Forum, Furman University , the Coweta County School System's Centre for the Visual and Performing Arts, and the Georgia Music Teacher's Association among others. His compositions include works for orchestra, symphonic band, brass, percussion and woodwind ensembles, organ, children's choir, electronic and multimedia works. He holds a Master of Music degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta , GA ,    a Master of Church Music degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Catawba College in Salisbury, NC.
