Such a Lucky Boy

ABOUT Laszlo Kadar

Laszlo Kadar
Born in Hungary, immigrated to the USA in 1966. Before retiring in 2008, he was a computer professional for over 40 years. I just published my first book

In October 1945, a one-year-old boy was abandoned in a freight car at a railroad station of a small town in Hungary. The events of the book are based on the life of the author (the orphaned boy) and the life of his loving family who adopted him. He grew up during the turbulent years of the post World War II Hungary. The Communist ideology changed everyone’s life especially for religious Jews. The life of the author was complicated by the philosophy of his religious father, and the philosophy of his Communist teachers promising “good life” and a great future without religion.
