Description

A teeny, tiny, little book of mystery. How many people can be murdered in just 75 pages? And how does mega-wealthy Charles Moneymaker and his friend and author, James Reading (of the railroad Readings, of course)figure it all out? By inviting a group of guests with little or nothing in common, Moneymaker's old friend, Coz, has set off a string of deadly events as his guests begin to die!

I enjoyed this book. It reminded me of one of those old English "Who Done It" movies. Charles Moneymaker and his friend and associate, John Reading are invited to spend Christmas at a friends place in the country near Boston. A paralyzing blizzard moves in and everything is set for a weekend of intrigue, mystery and murder. The plot twists and turns and you don't know until near the end who the unlikely culprit is! Of course Moneymaker and Reading solve it before the police are able to; after all, that was half the fun in the story.

This is a short read, easily accomplished in an evening. It was entertaining and kept the reader guessing. I recommend it for a an evening cuddled under a blanket, with the fireplace burning. Just put your game board away first!
