Description

This is the third book in the Taya Bayliss series of mid-grade mystery/adventures from author E. J. Gore. The Bayliss family are on the move again, this time to Narralong, home of the famous Splinter Island Bird Sanctuary. Taya's father is there to investigate a change in the breeding habits of the native birds, or so he says. A recurring dream, a series of lies and the discovery of a body on the beach lead Taya to suspect that her father is involved in something far more serious.

Last year my husband and I were on vacation at the beach. Across the road from our apartment was the headland with a lookout shelter on the top. Every time I looked there was a man standing in the shelter looking out to sea. It didn't matter what time of the day or night it was, he was there. It really puzzled me and led me to create many scenarios for his being there. Code Breaker is one of those scenarios.

Right from the start I was hooked on the book wondering where this eleven year old girl was taking me. I loved the insight she had and the ability to see things others did not - especially the menu. It galloped along with excitement and held me with each page.
