Skeletons in Her Closet
New author, L'Mignon, takes pride in bringing the girl next door character to reality for her readers, creating a story that many can identify with in some fashion. In her first novel, Skeletons in Her Closet she introduces us to McKenzie Johnson. Over the years McKenzie had become so involved in work she neglected having a social life. As a New Year begins, McKenzie is convinced by her friends to trade in her conservative business attire for some more sassy club attire and finally let her hair down. All work and no play is never any fun. Not knowing when she would get out again she was determined to make the most of this night. Unbeknown to her, not only would she enjoy a fun night with the girls but also meet the man she would soon marry, Milton Williams. Ordinarily, she would never go for a man that she met in a club, but there was something different about Milton once she took the time to get to know him. He was everything she always wanted and felt she needed to make her life complete. But as with all things in life it's never always that easy.
The Story Behind This Book
I wanted to provide an easy read that women could read on the go. A page turner that would get them emotionally connected to the main character. My goal is present real life situations that we can identify with in real life. My novels will make good reads for women groups, book clubs, or just a bunch of friends wanting to get together to discuss a good book. The topics discussed are guaranteed to spark conversation amongst the readers.
Praise and Reviews
McKenzie Johnson's rewarding career has kept her busy far too long. When she realizes she doesn't have a social life, she entrusts her two best friends to take her out and show her a good time. From across the dance floor, a pair of sexy eyes belonging to a fine man is mesmerized by her sexy body. It isn't long before McKenzie and Milton Williams are making plans to become one, but Milton discovers events from McKenzie's past that may steer their relationship on a different course.L'Mignon's debut novel, SKELETONS IN HER CLOSET paints a vivid picture of the hurt and shame a person feels when belittled by a loved one because of their past. In her novel, she journeys back to McKenzie's past, which is a benefit, because it allows the reader to get a better understanding of McKenzie's character. The best friends' characters are witty and sharp-tongued, and the plot slowly takes off in another direction. As I continued to read this fast-paced, plausible story, the plot became predictable, but the ending left me surprised.

SKELETONS IN HER CLOSET by author L'Mignon is a fast pace and easy read. The cover of the book fits perfectly to what the story tells and unfolds. Once you start reading this book, you will have a hard time putting it down. The story line flows so fluently.
Author L'Mignon has done a wonderful job with her first novel. The characters and story line are well developed in SKELETONS IN HER CLOSET. This book will make the readers think and question .......Can you handle the truth whether it is in the past or present...Can you continue to love someone once you find out something about their past....Can you accept it....or does it really matter now. The author displays that communication and trust is very important in a relationship. I would recommend this book to everyone whether they are in a relationship or not. This book would be a great book club discussion. Congratulations to author L'Mignon for creating a good read and I hope there are more good books to come!

Don’t point fingers at other's because as sure as there is one pointing forward there are three fingers pointing back at you. Skeletons in Her Closet is model book to base this staying.
McKenzie Johnson is a college professor who had some pretty wild days when she was a student. After a one night situation that landed her in the hospital fighting for her life she decides that she needs to make a change and leaves that life behind.
Fast forward New Year’s Eve night several years later and like they say, all work and no play can make a girl pretty bored. The innocently started girls night out changes her life. She meets Milton and from there the fairy tale begins. The relationship is great and has now blossomed into an engagement.
Milton and McKenzie could have not been happier until Milton stumbles upon several personal letters belonging to McKenzie . The content prove too much to deal with causing Milton to make a devastating decision. McKenzie confused and unsure what is going on until she too stumbles upon the long forgotten momentos. What was in those letters? Were these letters the “skeletons” in her closet? Was she the only one with the skeletons in her closet?
For Author L'Mignon's first novel of it was a blockbuster. The writing was in-depth novel and hit every point intended. The twists in the mood and ending of the book was one that took the reader on a rollercoaster ride that ended on the last page.
5 Star Read
I recommend this book to those that are about the age of 18 because of the sexual content.
