kgcummings (April 11, 1949 - ) born Kathy Ann Cummings in Oswego, New York to parents Raymond E. and Gertrude Kathryn DeSantis Cummings.
Her first novel, The Wind Whispers War, was self published in 2006. It was soon followed by several more novels to continue the historical romance series based in the Vietnam era. For nearly 20 years Kathy worked for a contractor to the United States Air Force as a civilian equivalent to an AF X2 computer operator in the Standard Base Supply System. This experience gave her the opportunity to become acquainted with many Veterans who inspired her novel series.
Kathy has written hundreds of poems, but as yet has not published them in a book of her own. Several of her poems are published in anthologies and collections. Thanks to the internet, she has heard from readers of her work in thirty countries world wide.
She currently resides in Florida, surrounded by friends and family. She enjoys sunshine and blue sky, playing with her grand nephew, and awaits the birth of her grand daughter in May.

Story Behind The Book
The 1980's... big hair, big dreams, big business, big breakthroughs for the veterans of the Hated War, Vietnam. While "Yuppies" were caught up in acquiring expensive__, bigger__, designer__, imported__, the American Psychiatric Association recognized PTSD, and the U.S. Government accepted that nightmares, and flashbacks were war related. Treatment was made available, however not before many more lives were lost whose names would never be on the Wall. Sadly, we will say good-bye to some of the characters in this series as a result of too little, too late. But, like the river, life continues to flow. Wine, Women, and Worries is a book of closure. What happens to Jason? How does Marianne turn out? Does Jeff give up his playboy lifestyle? Why did Beth stay with Tom? And, last but not least, do "they" ever get back together? These questions will be answered. And, one small hint... "Tomorrow they would be together forever." But, will they?

In her fifth book of this great series kgcummings has almost outdone herself here. This is among the best in the series. It's hard to say any one of them are the best, each one is best in it's own way. This one gets Jeff back with his children and he makes a huge effort to make time for them and helps them with the problems they have. Can't give too much away, but believe me they get into some serious stuff and he is there for them. If you haven't read this series, I would certainly recommend that you get the first one and start them now. They are really great reading by a fresh new author that deserves you to at least give her a chance. I really don't think you would regret it at all.<br />Janice Parker
