About

I am a seventy year young grandmother. I started writing stories for my two grandsons for Christmas a few years ago. They liked them so much that they now expect a new one each year.
My husband of almost fifty years encouraged me to write and publish more children and young adult books. His support has been fantastic. We have two adult sons, a daughter and those two wonderful grandsons.
I have written and published on Createspace about 30 works. Some have been combined into collections of stories.
Most of the stories have encouragement and hints for the reader, such as the Maddy and Squirt series. This is a sister and brother that must deal with moving, a new home, making new friends, going to a new school and their encounters along the way.
Reading releases the hidden child in all of us and gives us hope, encouragement and insite. Our imagination gives us wings to fly.

Description

In 1066, the rivalry between two brothers brought England to its knees. When Duke William of Normandy landed at Pevensey on September 28, 1066, no one was there to resist him. King Harold Godwineson was in the north, fighting his brother Tostig and a fierce Viking invasion. How could this have happened? Why would Tostig turn traitor to wreak revenge on his brother?
The Sons of Godwine were not always enemies. It took a massive Northumbrian uprising to tear them apart, making Tostig an exile and Harold his sworn enemy. And when 1066 came to an end, all the Godwinesons were dead except one: Wulfnoth, hostage in Normandy. For two generations, Godwine and his sons were a mighty force, but their power faded away as the Anglo-Saxon era came to a close.
