This month, we celebrate a major milestone in BookBuzzr's history. We now have 10,000 registered authors on BookBuzzr benefiting from one or more of our technologies. The best part is that most of these authors have signed up to BookBuzzr on their own via word-of-mouth. Now Get More Marketing Juice from Your Giveaways

One of the most popular BookBuzzr products is our book giveaways technology. You set up your book as a prize giveaway on our reader site - Freado.com where readers can win your book. Authors love it because it exposes their book to readers, some of whom are likely to leave reviews or become long term fans. The problem we had was that some books were too popular and readers would rush out and claim all of the copies that were available for giveaway in just one or two days. This meant that the book would no longer show up as a prize on Freado.

Based on feedback from authors, we've now changed our algorithm such that the giveaway is spread out over the entire period of the promotion setup by the author. For example, if you're giving away 10 copies over 10 days, readers can win a maximum of one copy per day. This is likely to arouse the interest of readers and encourage them to return on a future date to win the book. Further, when they win the book, they are more likely to read and possibly review the book.
