Once You Open It.....

Danielle does not mind being a mistress to her married boyfriend Malik. Why should she when he takes good care of her. Malik has come up with a way to have his cake and eat it too by asking Danielle to partake in a ménage et trio. What was supposed to be a one night affair opened Danielle up to a world she never knew she would enjoy. Danielle finds herself battling her love for Malik with her love for her lover Alexis. Deciding on living a lesbian life, Danielle ends her relationship with Malik and learns she is pregnant; something Malik always made clear should never happen because of his marriage. Against Alexis' suggestion, Danielle reveals her pregnancy to Malik only to unleash his violent wrath. Taking the law into her own hands may prove to have an outcome Danielle never expected.

Normally, I don't go into such a detailed description for a review but given the details laid out on the back cover, I decided to let readers know just what they were getting. The book description was so detailed that I almost did not need to read the book. The first thing I would say about this book is that it needs to be republished with a shorter description, leaving more to the imagination.

Some parts of Sherry Michelle's "Chaos" left me wishing I had not read the back cover because I was able to predict the outcome and it left me wanting to get to the last page so I could be done with the story. Taking away the overly detailed synopsis, this was a story that could hold the attention of the reader with the exception of a few confusing edits that took away from an otherwise good story line. There was a lack of a clear timeline, which made it difficult to follow the chain of events taking place. A distinction with the flashback text would have also lessoned the confusion in some areas of the story. The rushed ending added to my inability to recommend this to anyone. This current story edited to address the flaws would make this an interesting read for readers of many genres.
