The Story Behind This Book
In the early 1970's the People's Republic of China came to the realization that they could not catch the West in the development of technology. They concluded they would need to steal as much technology as possible to make them equal, then once on equal ground, innovate at a faster rate and surpass the rest of the world. Consequently, they began a program known as the 16-chararacter policy which spelled out their approach using civilian initiatives to support their military objectives. One such program was discovered by a beautiful computer engineer while working in Beijing. She uncovers an international conspiracy that took years to develop. Consequently, the Chinese Secret Service had orders to stop her from revealing their scheme. Find out what happens in The Beijing Code.
