The Mystery of the Copper Raven (Because of the Moon)
During the potlatch abolitions, violent raids on coastal Indian villages destroyed many ceremonial masks and sacred artefacts. Legend has it that a young brave was able to save some of the treasured pieces including the priceless Copper Raven statue. Fifteen-year-old Jay Roberts is convinced the statue is hidden in the mountains behind his village. The problem is nobody believes him.
Jay's only chance to search is during his vision quest. Alone, in the wilds of the coastal rain forest, Jay must use his wits to survive. Follow Jay as he pieces together clues found in Indian songs, Emily Carr paintings, pictographs and an inside-out totem pole. Will Jay locate the Copper Raven or will the gun-toting eagle poachers put an end to his search and maybe his life?
Jay's quirky sense of humour, inventiveness and his inability to take no for an answer leads Jay on the greatest adventure of his life.
