Description

Nathan only ever wanted a normal life, but for him, life, family, and love are anything but normal.

On the other side of the Veil, dark and light fae exist outside the knowledge of most humans. Nathan Grier was born human, but his twin brother Jim is a changeling. On the run since they were children, time for both of them is running out. Turning to fae hunter Sasha Kelly for help, Nathan must soon face his growing feelings for the other man while trying to save himself and his brother from a fate worse than death.

I was first inspired by a web comic I'd found about a teenage boy with an incubus imaginary friend. I couldn’t get my own ideas out of me at the time, though, and let it sit. Then one day, while watching an episode of the TV series Supernatural, the idea for my incubus character, Sasha Kelly, completely different from anything like the web comic or Supernatural itself, just…came to me, fully formed. The rest of the story fell into place with my love of fae lore and male relationships, and its various inspirations definitely show through.

"This blew me away. This is exactly the kind of book I hope for when I grab a paranormal romance by an author unknown to me. It was an adventure from the very first page all the way to the end. Action packed, it managed to describe everything making it easy for the reader to picture but didn't bog down with descriptions. The relationships were so believable, especially between the brothers. It was easy to imagine their scared and lonely childhood together. I liked Sasha and wanted Nathan to get over his hangups already so they could be together. I was rooting for Jim but also frightened of what he could become and what that would do to Nathan...Fun read, enjoyable, no matter your orientation or preference in that of the characters." - Natalie Gibson (Author)

"...this story is beautiful. The author has perfectly captured the emotional struggles of her fully realized characters, and written a paranormal novel full of suspense and adventure. This fae "universe" is exceptionally detailed; not once is the reader introduced to some random off handed factoid without it being described in full, and interesting, detail...I cannot wait to read the next installment in what I already know will be a series that I will thoroughly enjoy." - My Name Is Legion, For We Are Many (GoodReads)

"The world building here is really outstanding. Anyone who is familiar with fae myths and legends will recognize some of the aspects, but the author puts her own twist on things as well. It’s well developed and the author does a good job about not overwhelming us with information, but also providing what we need to know." - A Joyfully Jay Review

"I wasn't sure [about this book] at first because I'm not big fan of M/M fantasy/paranormal (with the exception being shifters), but once I started reading I was hooked! This was definitely not anything like I expected but way better. I couldn't put the book down til I finished. I just hope we get more of this series in published form soon." - Brooklyn (GoodReads)

"A really intricate and cleverly witty story, which has so much packed in. The characters, the fantasy, and the romance elements pull together to form such a great tale. Different from the usual run of the mill story, and really refreshing for it! Can't wait to read the second!" - Zoe (GoodReads)
