I have been writing and composing since the day that I created a prelude, composing some notes (which I still have recorded on my brain) on a small piano toy at the age of three. But I first put my two feet at the theatre, playing the flute to a big audience at Mackenzie Institute, when I  More...

Description

As a close witness of the battle against cancer, I wrote "Treat-a-Teat: 10 Things You Should Know About Cancer" after working hard to understand the mechanisms that erupt this illness. Trying to avoid the many damages that it had already caused to her loved ones, as much as recovering their strenght and supporting them to find the light in the end of the tunnel, I made several researches about the subject. Maybe I didn't have found the answer yet, but I try to give many insights on self-reliance, helping in the difficult yet rewarding process towards the cure. All royalties from this book will benefit breast cancer research, donation to breast cancer women organizations, education, therapies, outreach and awareness.

I was sitting in a restaurant when I saw two lemons looking at me. And I thought to myself, "That would make a great picture to illustrate what I want to say...If God gave you one lemon you can cut it in half, but if He gave you two, you can make a lemonade!" So I came back home and I started to photograph all kinds of fruits with similar shapes. I wanted to express deeply but in a funny and light way all the process that leads one to decide to deal with a dramatic change in their lives, encouraging them to find some light from a perhaps too heavy subject. And I always had the idea of writing about the experiences I had with people so close to me (including a cousin of mine) who were dealing with breast cancer. Hope many will benefit from that. Love and Light!
